Royal Ascot 20/6 – 24/6
Going: Good to firm, good in places
The Royals race week! This is Britains most valuable race meeting of the year. The Queen will no doubt be in attendance and with the current weather we are experiencing in the UK it’s set to be a fantastic festival.
With 8 Group One races and on-top of that a further 10 races over the 5 days, there’s a lot of betting value out there to be had. We shortlist some of our top bets of the festival below
Happy Like a Fool at 11/10 -> Click Here To Place Bet
The first of our three picks is in the Day Two 15:05 race. A Wesley Ward USA entry which will bring a lot of backers in on this alone. She’s only raced once at keeneland but came out an easy winner. Heartache will be the main competition in this race, however with Ryan Moore booked in the hot-seat the owners have certainly had this race marked out for a long time.
Jack Hobbs at 11/4 -> Click Here To Place Bet
The second pick is a Day Two 16:20 Group One race. Jack Hobbs has had some great form of late landing both the Dubai Sheema Classic as-well as being the 2015 Irish Derby winner. With Buick on-board we believe that Jack Hobbs gets the job done on the day and crosses the line as a winner comfortably.
E/W Sheikhzayedroad at 11/1 -> Click Here To Place E/W Bet
Final pick of the festival is Day Three Group One Race. It’s Thursdays Gold Cup. Our attention turns to Sheikhzayedroad over the outright favourite in Order of St George. Having ran at Ascot in 2016 and won off similar odds, there’s plenty of value to be had in the Each Way market. Returning just short of £20 to a £1 level stake over his career, he has proven to be profitable when we’ve backed him in the past.
